  13.       OBJECT APPLICATION AWARDS PROGRAM INVITES ENTRIES
  14.     Awards designed to showcase the best of custom applications 
  15.         using object-oriented approaches
  16.  
  17. Kronberg, TS. -- February, 1995 -- Object Management Group, and LogOn
  18. Technology Transfer organizers of Object World Frankfurt, are seeking
  19. submissions for The Third Annual Object Application Awards. 
  20.  
  21. Winners will be announced at Object World Frankfurt - The Software Event
  22. for Central Europe- on October 10, 1996. Chris Stone President and CEO of
  23. the Object Management Group will be the master of ceremonies. 
  24.  
  25. The awards will showcase innovative custom applications using object
  26. technology. Applications must be currently in use, not for resale, and
  27. must meet one of the following qualifications: 
  28.  
  29. *    An application built from scratch 
  30. *    A modification of an off-the-shelf application 
  31. *    An object-oriented front end for a host application
  32.  
  33. All entries must be postmarked by midnight, September 10, 1996. 
  34.  
  35. A panel of judges chiared by Prof. Roberto Zicari, OMG Central Europe,
  36. will select three finalists from each of the following five categories: 
  37.  
  38. *    Best distributed application using object technology with legacy 
  39.     systems
  40. *    Best application utilizing reusable components leveraged from or for 
  41.     use in other projects
  42. *    Best object-based application developed using 
  43.     object oriented and non-object oriented tools
  44. *    Best application demonstrating the costs/benefits of using 
  45.     object technology
  46. *    Best use of object technology within an enterprise or large systems 
  47.     environment
  48.  
  49. Finalists will be notified the week of September 23, 1996 and must have at
  50. least one company representative present at Object World Frankfurt on
  51. October 10, 1996.

  53. All entrants are required to complete an official entry kit. Entry kits
  54. can be obtained by contacting:
